The Smith College Tennis took to the road again this Saturday but came up short against Wheaton College, one of the top teams in the NEWMAC conference this year. The bright spot of the day came when Smith College's number one singles player Diana Fiumefreddo played her best match of the year so far against Wheaton's Catherine Teague. This overall loss hit the Smith tennis team hard during their drive back to Western Massachusetts. Determined to bounce back, sophomores Maggie Steiner and Mindy Chu took the lead in organizing ways for the team to encourage each other and get "fired up" for this Tuesday's home match against Springfield College. Stay tuned, because when Smith College students put their mind to something, it usually means business!!! =)
