It was a beautiful day on September 30 for the Smith College Tennis balcony dedication and fight-to-the-finish match against local rival Mount Holyoke College. A crowd gathered to listen to the brief balcony dedication, and enjoy delicious refreshments. Afterwards, onlookers were able to enjoy the view from above as they cheered on their classmates and friends playing on the courts below. Despite being down 0-3 after the doubles, Smith College fought back and came oh so close to taking the singles matches. Although Mount Holyoke prevailed in the hard-fought battle that lasted until almost 9pm at night, Smith College showed continued improvement as they head into their next match at Wheaton College this Saturday.
